In this period of extreme global difficulty caused by the pandemic of COVID-19 I admit that it is not at all easy for me to celebrate properly the first 5 years of the blog. I do not have the same lightheartedness, irony and cheerfulness that distinguish me and I apologize if today I only feel the need to make myself a spokesperson for how to best deal with Coronavirus and quarantine.

For this reason, I kindly ask you to stay at home as much as possible, leaving only when strictly necessary (work, health, food shopping). It is for your sake, for the sake of your loved ones and the whole community. This bad period will pass only if we are united and we help each other by respecting what we have been asked for.
For any doubt, question or information, rely only and exclusively on when reported on the Italian Government website where you can find the rules for travel and the self-declaration form, essential for all your movements outside. Yes, even if you are walking and taking the dog outside.
I remember that falsified self-certifications and not respecting the rules of this provision of the authorities can be punished with an arrest of up to 3 months.
Think about it, they are not asking us to climb Everest, go to the moon or go to war, they are just asking us to be comfortable in our house. It does not seem to me such a difficult thing to deal with.
What to do to avoid Coronavirus infection
How to slow down and avoid Coronavirus infection has been, rightly, explained and spammed everywhere, how and when. Since I believe they are small precautions that change our life habits and must fit well in my head, I also clearly report them:
- Avoid close contact keeping at least 1 meter distance.
- Avoid crowded places.
- Cover your mouth and nose with disposable tissues whenever we sneeze or cough. Alternatively, use the bend of the elbow.
- Do not touch your eyes, nose and mouth with your hands.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water or an alcohol-based gel for at least 20 seconds.
- If you have flu-like symptoms, stay indoors by contacting your general practitioner, the medical guard, or the numbers available in each region.
In short, to fight and overcome Coronavirus and quarantine unscathed, we simply need to make good use of civic education. That subject as indispensable as canceled by the schools that today more than ever makes me wonder why.
How to spend the days at home during the quarantine
Between Coronavirus and tax quarantine, don’t you really know how to spend your days at home?
I started by arranging it from tops to bottom in every more remote corner. Trust me, for a job well done it takes at least three full days, if not more, depending on the size.
I love board games so the hours fly with my son. Especially if you choose long games like Monopoli or Risiko.
Reading and watching movies or TV series that we postponed are a good way to spend a few hours.
Keeping fit is also possible at home. Ever thought about plank exercises? Very effective and a great personal challenge. Every day I add 5 seconds, from here to summer I will be as toned as I have never been. ;P
And the artistic activities that we like to do where we put them? You can dance, sing, sew, paint, draw, photograph, write and much more.
With a bit of goodwill and imagination we can really find a lot of things to do even while standing at home. I realize that psychologically the constraint of something leads to the desire to want to do it but at this moment each of us must hold on and collaborate by spreading the right message. All together, united and respecting the rules we will defeat Coronavirus and quarantine. Let us love each other:

Trying to put Coronavirus and quarantine aside for a moment, despite being the issue that most interests us and torments us at the same time, this space is now 5 years old. One of the most lasting relationships with myself. To celebrate I would have liked to talk only about rainbows and unicorns eating chips together but this year it went like this. Of course there is a thought for newsletter subscribers and for those who will register from now on. A daily planner and a weekly planner to download for free and print. Comfortable and practical, they allow us to organize all our activities in the way we prefer.
